| My daughter and I have been to about 40 countries, mostly on exchanges, some with Global Volunteers and some with The Friendship Force, and are open to travel anythwere. I have had about 80 exchanges over the years, most of them exchange of hospitality. Sometimes when we travel we are guests in a host house and they are guests in ours when they visit the U.S., sometimes we exchange our properties. We have stayed in castles in France, and in the most humble of homes, like the ones we grew up in. When we visited Australia and New Zealand, we stayed only on farms with the families. Some of those families have returned our visit and have come and stayed with me in Las Vegas, and Joy in the mountains of California. |
