We have been finishing in 2010 a heavy refurbishment of a lovely small house.
The house is locate in a park that was build by a Doctor of Louis XV to cultivate botanic plants.
In 1929 this park has been transformed in a small residence. The old part of our house has been built at this period.

With our architect we have kept this old part and have added a brand new and modern block to double the surface.
The interior is then a mix of old and modern furnitures.
The house has a lot of windows with a large view on the garden and the forest behind. The old masonry wall at the end of the garden is as old as the park and give a romantic style to our garden.

The garden is oriented to the south and benefit of an excellent sun light all along the day. The house is made of light concrete with a double aeration system that take the fresh air in the cellar to keep the house temperate during all season. An electronic alarm and automated windows screen help you to close easily the house when leaving.

Our house is located in Marly le Roi, this small city is at the end of the park of the castle of Versailles and is known to have been the place of the secret Marriage between Louis the XIV and Mme De Maintenon in the Saint Vigor Church . There is a large tree park where there was summer festivity of Versailles in lovely fest houses. During the French revolution local habitant remove the stones of this place to build what is now on the old Marly.

In the old Marly, at 1000ft from the house, there are several small restaurant with French and international food. It even includes a Restaurant with one star at Michelin guide.
Three times a week there is a typical French market.

For the promenade you can bike to the castle of Versailles through the Marly forest.

For the local shopping you have the city of Saint Germain en laye or the Parly 2 commercial centre which are very convenient at 10 minutes drives and they offer from high fashion level supply to low cost shopping.

For Paris there is a direct train to the Area of Boulevard Hausmann and the Printemps and Galery Lafayette(30minutes trip).
You can also use our car to join directly the A13 at 5 minutes from the house to be in centre Paris without any traffic light.
It is a pleasure to visit the Louvre, Orsay, Hotel Salé - Picasso and been back in half hour in our house to have a good rest on the evening in a quiet place.

For the sport there is a Tennis Club house nearby the house, a swimming pool at five minutes walking and several Golf at 15 minutes driving.

Our three children Jean-Adrien,16, Juliette,14, and Henri-Jean, 13 years old are very keen to host some guest in their rooms. The older is a boy passionate of planes, the second is a girl very kind in beautiful furniture drawing and clothes, the third is passionate in Tennis and any sport with a ball to run after.

Francine, my wife, like to have a lovely garden with many variety of flower at all season. When the weather is grey she take care of the decoration of the house where she can practice her professional skill of cloth designer.

The father Jean-Baptiste, is a civil engineer working for a specialist partner in Bridge and other special civil work constructions all over the world.
