| Our house was a standard colonial style which we remodeled with a modern addition consisting of family room and master bedroom/bath above. It is spacious and has a park-like feel. We also remodeled the basement as a separate bed/sitting room with private bath. The kitchen has newer appliances and has a table for informal eating. There is a separate formal dining area off of the family room. There also is a bedroom and bath on the first floor. Our yard is glorious in the spring and summer with changes in plantings offering a continual surprise. There is a small pond with waterfall. We are in the woods with lots of big trees. We are close to shopping, both grocery and lots of stores, both boutiques and higher-end malls. Note: we are air-conditioned and have several rooms in addition to the ones picured. |

| Just a few miles from downtown Washington D.C., we are situated off of Rock Creek Park with biking and walking paths and lovely woods. Bethesda itself is now a small city with many resturants, shops, and theatres, and Washington has museums and wonderful attractions linked to America's past. We are 1 mile from a Metro stop,with a bus nearby that will take you there if you prefer not to walk. We have bikes as well. The Maryland and Delaware ocean towns are an easy drive, as are the Shenendoah Mountains in Virginia. The area offers something for everyone |

We are retired federal employees. Peter was an attorney with the US Labor Dept., with a post-retirement job as a mine safety expert for a Congressional Committee. Robyn retired from the Libary of Congress and is currently with the local County libraries. We have two children (!), a 27-year old violinist and a 31-year old pediatrician - neither will join us. We do have a 1 1/2 female keeshond (dog,) very sweet, who we prefer not to board at a kennel, but we do have neighborhood teens who can possibly feed and take for walks.
